#55 - President

I THINK THIS SORT OF MAKES SENSE IF YOU READ IT WITH A STRONG LISP, SO UMM, GO DO THAT. THANKS.

EDIT: Fine, I changed the ending because you guys don't seem to care why a major character in this comic was not able to attend his very important presentation. It seems to me like all you guys come here for is the puns, and once the pun is over, you don't care who is dead and who is holding their limp, lifeless body. None of you get credit for the change because you all broke my heart and spirit together.

As punishment (that wasn't a pun joke, I don't like you guys anymore), you get the same frame pasted four times with absolutely no changes. I hope you are a happy with yourselves.

(original comic can be seen here)

  6. The original was that much better. Why on earth did you change it?

  7. I agree that the original was better, but because every single person I spoke to said "I don't get it. Why is the speech dead?", I figured I'd simplify it.

  8. I still don't get it also.

  9. I neither get the first nor the second...

  10. You have to talk like elmer fudd to get it.

  11. What if I still don't get it? D:

I apologize for my awful non-pun-getting-ness. (WTH is that? I don't know.)

  14. so wait are you saying 'wing' is supposed to be 'ring'? like he's gonna call his speech? that makes sense i guess but why in the original is he dead?

    ReplyDelete
  15. so he/she couldn't attend because he/she was dead?

  17. Speech: I'm just a bill. Yes, I'm only a bill. And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill... *BANG BANG* ah! why?! Why, Mr. President?!
President: Because littering is... *puts on sunglasses* unlawful! Yeahhh!

    womp womp womp.

  18. Is it because he's just "phoning it in"?

  19. I don't know where you come from that lisps make w's sound like that. I would say you have no idea what the word lisp means.

It's much harder to get the pun in the edit. And I thought the presidential address was 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

What is the black thing on the president's chest? Pocket protector? Skin cancer?

  20. Ahhh people, people! Think about it!

I give to you a hint that should help:

If you were shooting ducks, and you knicked it with a bullet but didn't kill it (e.g. if you shot it in the wing (hint, hint)), that would be mean you did what?

    Answer: you winged it!

  22. Wing=Ring
    Dead speech=Couldn't make it
Call it wanting to know where it is.

  23. The original would have been OK if he said "I'll *try* to wing it."

  24. Okay...my comment is really late but...
    wing it= ring it
    ringing it= calling it

  25. Booo! Make the original ending the default, it's way better.

    ReplyDelete
  26. took me a while to get it (preferred the original lol)

  27. The original - and this one - made perfect punny sense to me... =/

  28. Also, speaking like Elmer Fudd - and not opposite from him - was correct.

And I totally approve of the word "non-pun-getting-ness" ♥
